Respected Members,

At the outset, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family members a very happy and prosperous New Year. May all your wishes come true, and may your lives be filled with happiness, peace, and love.

To begin with, let us recall the New Year's Eve party, which was a huge success, with approximately 1,300 members and guests in attendance. The dance floor, spanning 4,800 sq.ft, was probably the largest in the city. For many years, other clubs in the city have been booking tables for their members and guests. However for the first time, the Management Committee decided to book some tables for members on a chargeable basis. Accordingly, 30 tables out of a total 188 (i.e only 16%) were booked on the chabutra on a first-come, first-serve basis. Since the number of tables was limited, there was a long waiting list, which unfortunately could not be accommodated.

I sincerely appreciate the effort put in by the Honorary Secretary, Shri Hemanshu Sehgal, and all the Management Committee members, who worked tirelessly to make this program a grand success. We hired 150 waiters and captains to ensure that service-related issues were handled efficiently. While I would not claim that we were 100% successful in providing flawless service to all members and guests, the overall satisfaction level has increased to a considerable extent.

Jaipur Club is one of the oldest Club in the country, dating back to 1890. As mentioned in Rajasthan Patrika's Heritage column, a New Year's party was organized on 31st December 1987 in honour of Mr. A.G.G. Crothwest. Therefore, I can proudly say that the function of Jaipur Club are truly the talk of the town.

I would now like to share details of the revenue generated from the new block of JCL. Since its inception, the newly constructed banquet hall has earned a total revenue of Rs. 1,16,89,331. It has proved to be a significant asset, particularly during the biting cold, for hosting Club functions and events in a comfortable setting.

We also carried out an analysis of revenue growth across other facilities in the new block. For this purpose, 2018-19 has been taken as the base year and compared with the revenue figures for 2024-2025. The period from 2020 to 2022 has been excluded, as it was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The comparative highlights are as follows:

1) Gym revenue increased from Rs. 6.86 lakhs to Rs. 13.33 lakhs, registering as increase of 94.32%/

2) Swimming revenue increased by 22%, from Rs 10.05 lakhs to Rs. 12.25 lakhs.

3) Health Club revenue increased by 146.46%, from Rs. 1.98 lakhs to Rs. 4.88 lakhs.

4) Salon revenue showed a marginal increase of 7.47%, from Rs. 1.64 lakhs to Rs. 1.76 lakhs.

These figures provide reassurance that although members faced difficulties during the construction phase, excellent facilities are now available, and the Club is generating revenue, thereby ensuring financial sustainability. I sincerely thank all the members from the bottom of my heart for their patience and appreciation during the construction period.

A new lounge, "The Bamboo Nook", has been created for members, and their guests using the refurbished furniture from the earlier family lounge. The existing family lounge has now been reserved exclusively for members and their families.

Very soon, we will also have a new card room, billiards room, and a multipurpose party hall capable of accommodating at least 150 members.

That's all for this month. Keep enjoying the Sunday winter lunches and the functions planned for this month.

                                                                                                                                                                                      Warm Regards.
